Today's sketch is sorta sloppy, and not at all funny, but I was going for a different emotion than what my illustrations usually have. Afterall, kids aren't happy 100% of the time, ya know. They feel the pain of losing a loved fur friend too. I had a hamster in high school (Simon LeBon), and when he died, my dog, Tigger, sat and watched me bury Simon in the backyard. (No, Tigger didn't dig him up. I was smart enough to place him in a lovely metal cookie tin with cedar chips before I buried him.) It's horrible when you lose a pet. Big hugs to all our fur friends - I'm happy to report that mine are both fine & dandy.
